About “The Black Experience” Exhibit

The Purpose Of The Black Experience Exhibit and The Women Behind The Lens: The Black Experience explores the perspectives of Black People of Color. Capturing real people in their element. The Mission is to simply give as many black people of color, the opportunity to not only share their experiences but the space to start a conversation. Bernice Johnson the creator behind the Exhibit, teamed up with Creatives Tiana Smith, a Digital Content Creator. Who uses her art and platform to explore her personal and artistic journey as a black, queer, femme woman. And Chris Lowe, a photographer who creates with intention. Aiming to capture the concepts, the visuals, and the stories of her subjects. Creating a picture that resonates and connects with others. The Black Experience aims to celebrate inclusivity, educate people, and create a positive dialogue that is reflective of BPOC. Creating an overall feeling of togetherness.
